  • Senior maths and science: misunderstandings and clarifications

    A new QSA publication identifies common misunderstandings about senior mathematics and science syllabuses and assessment. It offers clarifications to assist schools to improve their practice.

  • Syllabus consultations continue

    QSA is seeking teacher feedback on the draft subject area syllabuses for Early Childhood and Hospitality. Consultation closes on Monday 28 April.

  • Plan your Term 2 professional learning

    A range of professional development workshops are being offered in Term 2 to educators across K–12. Topics include children’s transition from kindergarten to school, NAPLAN, Drama, Philosophy & Reason and the delivery of quality VET in Schools.

  • Queensland contributes to curriculum review

    The QSA's submission to the ongoing review of the P-10 Australian Curriculum summarises the strengths, issues and concerns identified by Queensland stakeholders in consultations with ACARA from 2010 about draft Australian Curriculum documents.

  • Senior External Examination registrations open

    Schools can now register eligible Year 12 students for the 2014 Senior External Examination. This year QSA will provide 21 individual subject examinations across Queensland in October and November.
