Essential Learnings and Standards (Years 1-9)
Essential Learnings identify what should be taught and what is important for students to have opportunities to know, understand and be able to do. The Essential Learnings and associated resources have been organised to facilitate the diverse planning needs of schools and teachers. They can be accessed either by key learning area or by juncture.
In 2012, Queensland schools will implement the Australian Curriculum in English, Mathematics and Science. See the Australian Curriculum section for information and resources to support Queensland schools with implementation.
