Year 2 Diagnostic Net

The Year 2 Diagnostic Net has been developed by the QSA to support learning and development in literacy and numeracy in the early years of schooling. Children's learning and development are monitored throughout Years 1 to 3. Specially designed assessment tasks are given to children in Year 2 to help identify those who need additional support.

Those schools or authorities wishing to continue to use the Year 2 Diagnostic Net will use the material presently in schools.

Year 1 Literacy and Numeracy Checkpoints Assessments

Year 1 Literacy and Numeracy Checkpoints Assessments provide teachers with assessment resources for use in February, June and October when monitoring children's progress and making judgments about their achievement of the targeted Literacy and Numeracy Indicators by the end of Year 1.
