Before 2008, eligible students who completed Year 12 received a Senior Certificate. This recorded their level of achievement in subjects they had studied in Years 11 and 12 and, if applicable, their QCS grade and any achievement in accredited vocational education and training.
To be eligible to receive the Senior Certificate, students needed results in at least one semester of an Authority subject, Authority-registered subject or one recorded area of learning and must have attended school until the end of Year 12.
The Senior Certificate has been replaced by the Queensland Certificate of Education.
Recorded areas of learning
Recorded areas of learning included vocational education and training (VET) competencies and qualifications, as well as the following recorded subjects.
