QCIA Certificate Editor
The QCIA Editor version 1.07a is now available.
Installation Instructions
-
Decide upon or create a folder (e.g. c:\temp) to hold the download. This folder will only be used for temporary storage and will later not be needed by the QCIA Editor package.
Note: If you have a previous version of the QCIA Editor installed, it is recommended that you uninstall it first, before installing the new version.
- Download the QCIA Editor installation file (EXE, 5315 kB)
Your browser will ask you to save the file pccinst.exe. You should specify the folder you decided on in Step 1.
-
When the download is complete, use Windows Explorer to locate the file pccinst.exe in the selected folder.
-
Run this program by double-clicking on the filename and follow the prompts to install the QCIA Editor in the folder of your choice (NOT the folder from step 1!). If you are uncertain of what selections to make, just accept all defaults.
Once the installation is complete, the editor does NOT require any files to be present in the folder from step 1. If this folder has been newly created for use with this installation procedure, you should delete it now.
You will find that you will need to browse to the installation directory (default installation directory is C:\Program Files\QSA\PCCEditor) to create a shortcut to the QCIA Editor and place it on your desktop.
If you later wish to REMOVE the QCIA Editor from your computer, go to Control Panel (Start/Settings/Control Panel) and select the icon Add/Remove Programs. In the window that appears, highlight the QCIA Editor, click Add/Remove and follow any prompts.
