Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline
The Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline, currently in development, provides advice for planning, interacting with children, monitoring and assessing, and reporting in Kindergarten contexts.
Based on The Early Years Learning Framework for Australia, the guideline describes five learning and development areas and observable behaviours typical of children's learning and development at the end of the Kindergarten Year. It promotes active learning for children through play, real-life engagements, and routines and transitions.
The draft guideline is being trialled in 27 Kindergarten settings from February to May 2010.
