Queensland Comparable Assessment Tasks (QCATs)
QCATs are authentic performance-based assessment tasks. They are administered each year to students in Years 4, 6 and 9. Their purpose is to provide information about student learning in targeted Essential Learnings in English, Mathematics and Science and to help promote consistency of teacher judgments across the state.
Schools have the choice of implementing the QSA developed QCATs (centrally-devised) or developing their own (school-devised QCATs).
