SLIMS - Registration and banking
Welcome to the Registration and Banking component of Senior Learning Information Management System (SLIMS).
This site allows you, as a learning provider, to register young people and bank their learning enrolments and results. Other methods are available for transferring this information to QSA; see Registration and learning accounts.
New laws require all young people to be registered with the QSA within one year of them completing Year 10 or turning 16 *.
All schools will be given an administration login and the administrator will be responsible for adding other users within the school. If you have not received login details for your school, complete the local system administrator request form.
Other providers such as registered training organisations and universities will have access to the system in 2007.
To register a young person, use your login details in the box to the right.
Once a student is registered you can continue to use your login to update details of their learning at anytime.
The Registration and Banking Systems user guide will help you use RABS.
A Learning account is automatically generated for the student once they are fully registered. They can then access their account through the Careers Information Service. Generally, their learning account will remain open until the student is awarded their Queensland Certificate of Education.
If you need more help with the system, contact QSA helpdesk by telephone (07) 3864 0269 or email slims@qsa.qld.edu.au.

If you would like to know more about the laws requiring young people to be registered visit Education and Training Reforms: Senior Phase of Learning.
* Students in Years 11 and 12 in 2006 should not be registered, even if they turn 16 during the year. These students will work towards the current Senior Certificate.
