Languages senior subjects
Authority subjects are based on syllabuses that have been approved and issued by the QSA. Results in Authority subjects can count in the calculation of OPs and FPs, the most common selection devices used by the tertiary sector.

Senior External Examination
The QSA administers the examination in Chinese (since 1999) and from 2009 will administer external examinations in:
- Korean
- Modern Greek
- Polish
- Russian
- Spanish
- Vietnamese
Results in Senior External Examination subjects can count towards the QCE and in the calculation of OPs and FPs.
