Tertiary entrance publications and resources
The QSA has produced a series of publications that explain the tertiary entrance process (see below).
Students seeking advice on tertiary entrance should start with their school's guidance officer or student adviser. The QSA's Career Information Service website is also a great source of information on tertiary options and career pathways.
Staff at universities and TAFE colleges can provide information on course content and options; they can be contacted directly or by attending open days. Private career counsellors are another option, and will, for a fee, help define career goals and develop a study plan.
Career markets and tertiary information sessions are held throughout Queensland. See the news and events section of the Career Information Service website or the myFuture website for more information.
The QTAC website provides information on how to apply for tertiary entrance. The QTAC Guide to Tertiary Courses is sent to Queensland schools mid-year for distribution to all Year 12 students and can also be purchased from QTAC and newsagencies.
